A Shared Human Experience

Processing and accepting loss can be overwhelming.

Grief is both an emotional and, at times, a physical process. It affects everyone, but it looks different for each person. Sometimes, however, it can significantly impact your daily life and take a toll on your mental well-being.

With grief therapy, we help you work through these difficult emotions, come to terms with your new reality, and adjust to it—so you can move forward with greater clarity and calm.

Common Challenges We Help With:

Grief therapy supports you through a wide range of experiences, including:

  • Persistent disbelief or denial
  • Anxiety or panic attacks
  • Intense anger or irritability
  • Changes in sleep or appetite
  • Avoidant behaviors & withdrawal
  • Deep, ongoing sadness
  • Feelings of overwhelming guilt
  • Substance use to cope

Note: Everyone grieves differently. You don’t need to experience all of these to seek support. If grief is interfering with your life in any way, I am here for you.

Clinical Excellence

Evidence-Based Counseling That Works

I believe therapy should be emotionally attuned, but also practical. We get to the heart of what’s keeping you stuck and provide real strategies that make a difference.

Our Work Focuses on Three Dimensions:

01

The relationship you had before the death.

02

The story and circumstances of the death itself.

03

Your ongoing relationship with the person who passed.

Narrative Therapy for Grief

Narrative therapy views you as the expert of your own life. This approach helps separate grief from your personal identity, giving you the distance needed to see how it has influenced you. Together, we begin to rewrite your story—without grief holding the pen.

Relational Therapy for Grief

Relationships shape our well-being. This approach helps explore your connection with the person you lost, helping you address grief-related distress and learning healthy strategies to manage intense emotions.

Common Questions

Understanding the Grief Process

Elisabeth Kübler-Ross identified five stages: denial, anger, bargaining, depression, and acceptance.

While this framework offers insight, we know that grief is much messier and more personal than that. These stages can occur in any order, overlap, or repeat. We meet you where you are and work with your unique experience rather than forcing it into a model.

The "hardest" stage is subjective. For some, it is the initial shock and denial; for others, it is the long-term reality of depression once the initial support from friends and family fades. There is no right or wrong way to feel.

Complicated grief occurs when the pain remains so severe that you have trouble resuming your own life. Signs include intense longing for the deceased, preoccupation with the death, or feeling that life has no meaning without the person.

Don’t let grief steal your life—let’s take the next step together.
